The new GeNetix Node 5 from Chamsys is a true all-rounder. In addition to its function as a 5-port Ethernet DMX node, it also supports the processing of timecode, MIDI and 10Scene data.
This universal interface supports Art-Net, sACN, RDM and, like all GeNetix nodes, is fully configurable from ChamSys consoles via the built-in web server or via the Display on the device. The DMX ports are fully configurable and can be used as DMX input or output, as well as configuring different DMX timings. The GeNetix Node 5 has two network connections and can be supplied with power via powerCON TRUE1 or PoE. The GN5 can be placed in the rig via an M12 thread as well as for installations with a DIN rail adapter. For rack mounting, 19-inch adapters are included with the GN5.
The interface's LTC and MIDI ports enable the input and output of timecode and MIDI notes with MagicQ systems via ChamNet, as well as support for Art-Net timecode, which is compatible with any system that supports it. This makes GeNetix Node 5 ideal for applications where the timecode or MIDI source is not located at FOH.
When connected to MagicQ PC systems, the Genetix Node 5 MagicQ switches to Reduce Mode and functions not only as a DMX node, but also as a 10Scene interface. The GN5 MagicQ PC switches to unlocked mode via USB-C, so that the full performance of the MagicQ software is available for systems running Linux, Mac or PC.
