Sound Devices offers with the MX-8AA an optional battery case for the MixPre-3 and MixPre-6 8 AA batteries allow wireless operation for everyone who wants to work on the move. The housing is simply attached to the back of the interface/mixer and is immediately ready for use. It is recommended to use rechargeable NiMH batteries.
