With the Classic 20 112 Combo Tweed, Peavey is sending a real vintage amplifier into the race that delivers 100% analog tube sound and stands out as a real gem in terms of sound and look. Peavey has been producing high-quality old-school amps and combos with its Classic series since 1973, covering the vintage segment alongside its legendary high-gain amps. With the Classic 20 112 Combo Tweed, the US amp manufacturer continues its journey and combines tried-and-tested technology with modern features that make the amp versatile for use in Studio or on stage. The combo comes with two channels and draws its power from three 12AX7/ECC83 preamp tubes and two EL84 power amp tubes, which deliver a characterful sound with plenty of warmth and expression. This makes the Classic 20 particularly suitable for blues, jazz, country or classic rock 'n' Roll and presents itself with a saturated tone in the splendor of the iconic tweed design of the 60s!
With three 12AX7/ECC83 preamp tubes and two EL84 power amp tubes, the Peavy Classic 20 112 Combo Tweed provides real tube saturation, guaranteeing a voluminous sound with plenty of warmth. A 3-band EQ is available for adjusting the sound, with which bass, mids and treble can be adjusted, while an integrated reverb effect provides the necessary sound width. The authentic sound of the 1960s is conveyed cleanly by the 1x12" speaker and brings the vintage spirit back to life with a comfortingly warm sound!
The Peavy Classic 20 112 Combo Tweed combines analogue tube technology with great "quality-of-life" features that do not limit the use of the amp to the rehearsal room or stage level, but can also be used quietly or even silently in the (home) studio or living room. This is made possible by the Microphone Simulated Direct Interface (MSDI) with XLR and USB outputs, which allows the amp to be connected directly to a DAW while the 1x12" speaker remains muted. Furthermore, the maximum output of 20 watts can easily be reduced to 5 W or 1 W via a switch, allowing you to play quietly without losing the tube power.
