Birch shell with silicone TCS pads: Yamaha DTX8K-X

The Yamaha DTX8K-X features excellent birch shells built in the Yamaha factories. The hand-lacquered Drum shells are no different in quality or feel from conventional Acoustic drums. Yamaha uses foamed silicone for snare and tom pads, which contains countless small air bubbles due to special processing. With a perfect Mix of strength and rebound, which withstands even hard hits, the TCS technology offers a realistic and natural feel.

In addition, sorgt the floating design for a reduction of vibrations, ie. no vibrations are transmitted to other components. The silicone also has noise-reducing properties, because it absorbs the loud stick sounds, similar to a pillow. The cymbal pads also offer authentic response and differentiated sound. Hi Hat and Ride are equipped with the Yamaha Hit Point Detection System.

High-end Drum module: The DTX-PRO module at a glance

The included Yamaha DTX Pro module convinces with professional possibilities and offers perfect tuning to the needs of drummers as well as maximum performance possibilities. The module contains 712 sounds in 40 kits, additionally, there is the possibility to assign 200 user kits. Furthermore, own Wav samples can be loaded into the module, 760 seconds (380 sec stereo) are available. Up to 14 different pads (Y-cables) can be connected to the ten separate trigger inputs if required. A recording function and a comprehensive metronome are integrated in the DTX Pro. The innovative Kit Modifier function includes three knobs that allow you to adjust room and effects individually for each channel. Complementing the Aux-In is a Master Output (L/MONO+R), USB to Host/Device, Midi Out and a headphone jack. The full Dot LCD Display ensures intuitive operation.
