      The Keith McMillen Bop Pad RED at a glance

      The BopPad RED from Keith McMillen Instruments is a portable electronic drum pad for drummers, percussionists and producers. It detects precise strokes (with a latency of less than 3 milliseconds), velocity, position and pressure sensitivity, which are converted into controller data (CC). Four independently programmable zones are available, which can be assigned a variety of sounds.

      Wide range of applications

      For example, you can make the BopPad sound like a classic drum by assigning a sound to the entire surface. Or you can simply build a classic drum kit by assigning the desired sound to each zone (e.g. kick, snare, hat, tom). The connection is made via USB-C cable to the computer, tablet or midi expander. The BopPad works with any MIDI-enabled software or DAW. Alternatively, a web editor and a software editor with an unlimited number of presets are available.

      Compactness and flexibility

      Thanks to the dynamic range and accurate stroke detection, it responds to the finest nuances of drum playing. So from light hand drumming, to mallet playing, to fast and harder playing styles with sticks, everything is possible! With the BopPad you have the possibility, apart from normal drum sets, to play trigger samples, sound effects, pads and even chords.

      Thanks to its practical size and robustness, the BopPad can be easily transported. So you can let your creativity and playing joy run free at any place, no matter whether on stage, in the Studio or even outdoors.

      A durable, tuned elastomer surface covers a 10" circle using patented Smart Fabric Sensor technology to give players a realistic feel and a new dimension of expressiveness.
