Its professional 100% birch shells play a key role in delivering the unmistakable Yamaha sound. This five-piece shell set comes equipped with Remo Clear heads on the toms and a Remo Clear P3 head on the bass drum, making it ready to play straight out of the box. Visually, the chrome hardware complements the high-quality, modern design of the kit, which stands out in its timeless Deep Blue Sunburst finish. Birch Drum Shells & Y.E.S.S Tom Mounting-System
The shells are made entirely of birch, a tonewood known for its short decay, fast response, and tight, defined sound. Absolute lugs with internal locking mechanisms ensure precise tuning and reliable performance, preventing the tension rods from loosening unintentionally. In addition, rubber-backed shell hardware and rubberized bass drum claws help reduce unwanted vibrations, enhancing the overall tone of each drum. Yamaha's Enhanced Sustain System (Y.E.S.S.) provides a natural, crystal-clear tom sound by minimizing vibration transfer from the toms. For effortless setup, the Stage Custom Birch also features Yamaha's traditional ball mount and clamp system, ensuring flexible and secure tom positioning.
