The abbreviation "SPS" stands for "Side Protection System" and is what makes GEWA SPS bags so special. The bottom and sides of the SPS Gig Bags have fibreglass reinforcements that can also absorb larger impacts and protect the instrument from damage.

Upholstery and lining

A 20 mm thick foam padding additionally ensures absolutely safe transport of the drum boilers in the SPS bags. The inside of all SPS Bag models is lined with soft fleece to prevent damage to sensitive lacquer or film surfaces. On the outside there is an extremely resistant and water-repellent layer of Cordura.
