Tascam presents the Tascam MM-4D/IN X, an excellent analog Dante converter that can convert up to four microphone/line signals into four Dante output signals. In addition, the converter can accept four Dante audio channels, allowing any audio source within an existing Dante network to be processed. The input-side sample rate converters support resolutions up to 96 kHz / 24 bit, serving high standards of the pro audio industry. Various DSP features such as mixer fader, sound processing, dynamics processing, automatic level control, auto ducking routing, noise compensation or muting of inputs and outputs are also on board.
As part of Tascam's "Dante Compact Processor Series", the unit is suitable for Dante/AES67 networks and thus for public facilities, broadcasting stations, recording studios or exclusive residential environments, while additional inputs and outputs for mic/line or AES/EBU signals can be added and combined as desired.

Also included are two different software applications for macOS, Windows, iOS and Android that can be used to remotely control the MM-4D/IN. Both the DCP Connect software for configuration and the EZ Connect app for end users are easy to use. In addition, all Dante Compact Processor Series models can be powered via PoE (Power over Ethernet) or an optional AC adapter. With two units mounted side-by-side in a rack, it is possible to loop power through to the second unit, so only one AC adapter is required.
