Based on the original from the 1960s, the Gibson Hummingbird Faded comes with the outfit typical of the era. Thus, the square-shoulder construction consists of a Sitka spruce top and a mahogany body, which in combination produce a clear yet warm vintage sound. At the same time, the round mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard inspires with excellent playability in all 20 frets, which are marked with high-quality parallelogram inlays made of mother-of-pearl. The 44 mm wide bone nut and fitted saddle promise clean intonation over the entire 628 mm scale length. The characteristic headstock features classic Grover tuners with keystone buttons, which help to tune the 6 steel strings easily and precisely. The bright top wood is surrounded by a filigree multi-ply binding that perfectly matches the double-ring soundhole rosette. Adjacent to the soundhole is a large-scale Hummingbird pickguard positioned to give the guitar a custom appearance. The instrument is completed by the ultra-thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. To ensure that the Square-Shoulder can also be used on stage without any problems, a high-quality pickup system from L.R. Baggs is built into the body, which has a regulator in the sound hole.
