Due to its dreadnought build, the Ibanez ALT30FM-RDB Red Doom Burst High Gloss acoustic guitar features a large soundbox that produces an assertive sound. This is complemented by the flamed maple top, which adds a transparent, clear note with defined highs and full basses. The maple neck also supports the clear sound the compact basses. The voluminous and full-range sound character is ideal for vocal accompaniment. Meanwhile, the die-cast tuners ensure high tuning stability.

Handling

Especially in its playability, this model reminds of the feel of the electric guitar. Due to the Comfort Grip and its compact design, it lies well in the hand and, with its nut width of 43 mm, perfectly meets the requirements for strumming and flatpicking. The transparent pickguard protects the material from damage when playing with picks. The cutaway at the 16th fret should also be emphasized, which provides easy access to the high registers. The Ibanez Advantage bridge pins used here also speed up string changes. They feature a stopper that promotes easy removal.

Electronics

The in-house AEQ-2UT preamp allows for amplified playing, so the guitar can also be used to its best advantage on stage.In addition to a volume control, this pickup system has a 2-band equalizer for customizing the bass and treble, which can be used to adjust the sound to personal preferences and ambient conditions. As a bonus, the integrated tuner ensures a sound-assured performance at all times.

Design

The ALT30FM-RDB owes its striking appearance to the characteristic electric guitar headstock, the asymmetrical sound hole, and the Sharktooth inlays, which are reminiscent of the Ibanez RG series. The appearance is rounded off by the Red Doom Burst High Gloss finish.
