This all solid acoustic guitar in proven Taylor quality impresses with carefully selected tonewoods, forward thinking construction features and, not least, a highly attractive design rich in detail. The Taylor 324ce Next Generation: the complete package with the finest innovations.

      Solid tonewoods and patented bracing

The solid mahogany top, back and sides deliver a focused midrange response with a warm, balanced character, making this wood an excellent choice for acoustic guitars. This premium combination produces a cohesive overall sound that promises pure playing enjoyment for singer songwriters and acoustic enthusiasts alike. The necessary projection comes from the all solid construction and the latest in house Scalloped V Class bracing, which improves vibration transfer while enhancing sustain and intonation.

      Finger-friendly playability

Alongside its impressive tone, the Taylor 324ce Next Generation offers outstanding playability. The mahogany neck, with its comfortable weight and profile, sits naturally in the hand, while the ebony fingerboard allows the fretting hand to glide smoothly across all 20 frets. The nut width of 44.45 mm is perfectly suited to powerful strumming and precise flatpicking, and the generous cutaway provides easy access to the upper registers. Another new feature is the Action Control Neck, which contributes to a more resonant sound and allows for simplified adjustment of the string action.

      Taylor Claria Pickup

The newly developed Taylor Claria pickup system is a genuine highlight. It combines professional piezo technology with an intuitive and user friendly preamp, making it easy to shape a clear and natural amplified sound. The discreet soundhole mounted controls preserve the clean and harmonious design of the guitar.

      Attractive design

The instrument is completed by a classic design with tasteful visual accents. The fine grain of the tonewoods is elegantly highlighted by a traditional shaded edge burst finish in high gloss, lending the guitar its sought after vintage character. The refined appearance is further enhanced by the practical and stylish Firestripe pickguard, a single ring rosette and delicate Weathervane inlays, all of which underline the meticulous attention to detail.

As one of the world's largest guitar manufacturers, Taylor is a true authority in the production of first class instruments. Skilled craftsmanship by trained specialists results in guitars built to last a lifetime, with value that is consistently maintained or even increased. This is due in equal measure to the carefully selected tonewoods, which are extensively seasoned to ensure stability and exceptional quality. Only spruce, mahogany, cedar or koa of verified provenance are used for tops. The same uncompromising standards apply not only to the guitars themselves but also to cases and accessories. A thorough final inspection ensures that even the smallest imperfections are eliminated, guaranteeing flawless instruments before shipment.

As if that were not enough, Taylor also places great importance on environmentally responsible practices.

Ebony & Koa: Sustainability at Taylor Guitars

Uncontrolled deforestation and overexploitation have pushed many wood species to the brink, leaving them unable to regenerate at the pace of extraction. Ebony and koa in particular have been severely affected, and their declining availability has prompted Taylor Guitars to rethink traditional sourcing methods.

      Sustainable ebony cultivation in Cameroon

Because of its hard yet supple texture, ebony has long been prized for fingerboards. Its visual appeal also makes it highly desirable for bridges, headstock overlays, bridge pins and bindings. Rising demand and an expanding black market, however, rapidly depleted stocks, leading to ebony being placed on the Red List of endangered species in 1994. Compounding the issue, only the deep black heartwood, which represents only a small portion of each tree, was traditionally used, resulting in excessive waste. To counteract this, Taylor has partnered with the Crelicam Wood Mill in Yaoundé, Cameroon, since 2011 to promote responsible use by processing and utilising previously discarded material.

      Siglo Tonewoods Project

Koa acacia populations have also suffered significant losses over the past two decades. Unsustainable forestry practices and overexploitation have caused dramatic declines that can only be reversed through active intervention and reforestation. For this reason, Taylor Guitars, in collaboration with Pacific Rim Tonewoods, established the Siglo Tonewoods project. Its goal is to restore native Hawaiian forests through large scale cultivation of koa acacia and other species, enabling the controlled and sustainable use of koa wood in the future.
