Tascam's SERIES 208i is a compact and flexible USB audio and MIDI interface with built-in DSP mixer, perfect for professional studio and live recording. Whether it's a Windows computer, Mac or iOS device, the intuitive interface delivers up to 20 audio inputs and eight audio outputs for recording and playback with a resolution of 20 kHz / 24 bit. It scores not only with its excellent sound quality, but also with its powerful DSP processor and matrix mixer. Equipped with digital reverb, compressor, phase inversion and four-band tone control per channel, the included software offers everything you need for professional recordings. By integrating this processor into the USB interface, latency problems are a thing of the past, while the computer is relieved. The result: more efficient processing of audio signals.

Of course, the 208i serves all important connections: Here analog combination inputs for microphones, line sources and instruments are used. Thanks to Tascam's built-in Ultra HDDA microphone preamplifier with individually switchable phantom power, every microphone signal is recorded transparently, naturally and with low noise. The two additional optical digital inputs provide up to 16 audio input channels for ADAT or S/MUX compatible devices or up to 20 inputs for other popular formats (eight at 192 kHz).

Practically two headphone outputs with their own level control have been installed, while eight line outputs via balanced 6.3 mm jacks allow monitor mixing up to 7.1 surround monitoring. It is also possible to connect MIDI devices on the rear panel to use them in your DAW.
