The United and FET47 is a rigorously engineered large diaphragm condenser microphone available at a fraction of the price of the original. Working with a team of sound engineers and with experts from Cinemag USA and Heiserman, United's engineers in California have recreated the electrical and acoustic characteristics of the original, from the impulse response of the capsule to the thread dimensions of the body screws, and brought it to production readiness.
