The KSM44A comes with everything a high-quality and flexible studio microphone should have: a true dual-diaphragm capsule with switchable polar patterns (cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-eight) for a defined and full sound, an extremely low self-noise, very high sensitivity, a wide dynamic range, reduced proximity effect, and a three-stage switchable low-cut filter.

And what it also has in addition:

A spider and a transport case are also included. With its rugged construction and switchable -15dB pre-attenuation, it can also be used on stage, eg. on electric guitars & basses, strings or overheads.

What does the Prethos Advanced Preamplifier Technology do?

The KSM44A utilizes the proprietary Prethos Advanced Preamplifier Technology. A new milestone in amplifier circuit technology, Prethos incorporates an internal circuit architecture that allows for unprecedented transparent sound reproduction. It enables extremely low self-noise (4 dB in cardioid mode), very high dynamic range and outstanding transient response.

Linear and detailed sound

The KSM44A is equipped with premium electronic components such as the two ultra-thin (2.5 µm) and 24k Gold coated low mass Mylar diaphragms. Internal and external connections are also gold-plated.
