The X1S is a condenser microphone equipped with a hand-crafted capsule and offers a cardioid polar pattern and 20Hz-20kHz frequency range with a maximum SPL of 160dB. This highly flexible and versatile microphone is custom-designed for recording applications with an internal redesign that allows for improved sensitivity and a huge reduction in self-noise. The -10dB and -20dB pad switches provide an extended dynamic range, thereby enabling a wide range of applications and close-mic techniques for the loudest instruments. Two selectable filters at either 80Hz or 160Hz, help to eliminate low-frequency rumble or footfall noise and help compensate for excessive bass (proximity effect) with close-mic techniques. An all-metal chassis provides efficient rejection of any electrical interference and noise. The X1S also comes standard with a mic clip that will securely attach it to any mic stand.

The Isolation Pack is a shockmount and pop shield set featuring a robust and lightweight design. The shockmount features a quick and simple mechanism for securing the mic in place. Equipped with a removable metal pop shield, this kit is compatible with the RF-X, Project Studio RF and RF-Pro reflexion filters from sE Electronics.
