Dynamic precision for instruments

The Audix D6X is a dynamic instrument microphone specially designed for miking instruments with extended low frequencies such as kick drums, large Toms or bass cabinets. The microphone is equipped with the innovative VLM™ (Very Low Mass) technology, which guarantees natural sound reproduction and precise transients. It offers three selectable sound profiles: "Deep" for the classic D6 sound with deep, assertive bass, "Balanced" for a more balanced sound characteristic with additional mids and "Natural" for a linear reproduction suitable for a wide range of instruments. A user-friendly, recessed switch design ensures that the sound profiles can be easily selected without risking accidental operation.

The microphone features a cardioid polar pattern for optimal sound isolation and feedback control. With a transformerless design, high SPL limit, low output impedance and balanced output, the D6X offers interference-free performance even over long cable runs. The body of the D6X is made of precision-machined aluminium with a black anodised finish and a robust steel grille. Its robust construction makes it equally suitable for live and studio applications.
