The Fender American Performer Stratocaster HSS MN (Black) offers the combination of hot humbucker sounds with sparkling Strat tones. Manufactured in Corona, California, this instrument consists of an Alder body with a 4-piece screwed Maple neck in a "Modern-C" profile for contemporary playing techniques, and features pick-ups designed specifically for the American Performer series. 2x Yosemite single coils are used in the neck and middle position, the coils of which are coated with shellac to prevent unwanted microphonics. In the bridge position, the DoubleTap humbucker delivers powerful rock and metal sounds as well as clear single coil sounds thanks to a push/pull coil split function on the tone control.
