The ESP E-II Horizon FR QM is a high-performance guitar for contemporary shredding with a special focus on agile playing characteristics and the tight sounds of modern rock and metal. Thanks to the fast "thin and neck" and the perfectly balanced body, the electric guitar with its set-thru construction offers agile handling, while Seymour Duncan Pegasus and Sentient humbuckers make every note sound expressive and precise, even with drop tunings. Last but not least, a Floyd Rose Original Double-Locking Tremolo for detune-free dive bombs and squeals completes the E-II Horizon FR QM guitar from ESP.
In order to achieve a powerful sound and easy accessibility to the high registers, ESP uses a set-thru design with a smooth transition between the neck and body when building the E-II Horizon FR QM. The flat "thin" profile of the maple neck, which extends deep into the body, promises excellent playing characteristics over the ebony fingerboard, which offers a two-octave range for virtuoso soloing. A cloud maple top on the mahogany body also emphasizes the elegant look of the electric guitar.
The electrical sound conversion of the E-II Horizon FR QM is handled by a humbucker set from Seymour Duncan that is optimally tuned to modern metal sounds. With the Seymour Duncan Sentient , a modernAlnico V humbucker is used in the bridge position, which makes every note played sound with high precision and the right amount of warmth thanks to the harmonic midrange focus and a rich overtone spectrum. On the neck, on the other hand, the Seymour Duncan Sentient humbucker promises amazingly transparent cleans and a singing Overdrive for fluid solo playing. Thanks to the optional Coil-Split via the push/pull switch in the tone control, the electric guitar also delivers glassy single coil sounds.
High-quality add-on parts complete the features of the E-II Horizon FR QM electric guitar from ESP. A Floyd Rose Original Double-Locking Tremolo is used as the bridge, which reacts sensitively to the tremolo lever and implements advanced lead techniques such as dive bombs without detuning the guitar. At the headstock, Gotoh MG-T tuners not only bring the E-II Horizon precisely into tune, but also make it much easier to change strings thanks to the clamping mechanism.
