With a triple pickup setup, the Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster PF Opal Spark skillfully bridges the gap between the unmistakable sound character of the Telecaster and lively Strat sounds. The sonic all-rounder from the Fender Player Plus series is the absolute insider tip for recording sessions and offers unlimited playability as well as an extremely functional hardware setup. Last but not least, the Fender Player Plus Nashville Telecaster comes in a padded Deluxe gig bag.
Unlike classic Tele necks of the 1950s, the Player Plus Nashville Telecaster's maple neck uses a nimble Modern C profile that accommodates technically demanding players and strikes a good balance between secure fingerings and unhindered lead playing. The fingerboard radius of 12 inches is also much flatter than usual, and bendings in all positions to give additional control.
On the tonal side, a combination of two Player Plus Noiseless Tele Single Coils in the proven Telecaster design and a complementary Player Plus Noiseless Strat Single Coil is available for additional sound options. The triple pickup configuration is switched via a 5-way blade switch, while the Push/Pull Tone control engages the neck pickup if required. For example, in position 2 of the switch, with the switch pulled, all three pickups can be activated simultaneously to create particularly wide-ranging sounds.
The hardware configuration of the Fender Player Plus Nashville Tele presents itself as classic at first glance but brings with it some practical improvements. For improved intonation and adjustment possibilities, the Strings-Thru-Body Hardtail bridge now has six individual string tabs. The clamping function of the Deluxe Cast/Sealed Locking tuners also proves particularly useful when changing strings, while the short winding axles provide improved string contact pressure on the nut.
