The Intellijel Quadrax
The Intellijel's Quadrax is a quadruple function generator that can generate either an AD or AHR envelope per channel, act as a burst generator or work as a morphable LFO with or without BPM synchronization. In envelope mode, the curve is continuously adjustable from logarithmic to linear to exponential; control times from a crisp 0.3 ms to 20 seconds per stage cover a wide range of applications. The burst mode generates triggers that are adjustable in number and rising or falling intensity. This can be used to play drum modules, trigger further envelopes or generate velocity values in an experimental way. The LFO mode initially offers five waveforms, which can be changed extensively thanks to the morphing option. All waveforms are bipolar and can be synchronized to the clock if required.
Complexity by connecting
The option to connect several channels with each other is also very convenient. This can refer to the trigger input on the one hand, so that up to four different control voltages are generated from one gate source, or that one function generator triggers the next, which can end in a complex, multi-level envelope. Four freely assignable CV inputs are addressable to twelve destinations via the internal modulation assignments. When switched off, Quadrax remembers the last configured state.
