The LedPressor from VoicAs is an analog diode-based stereo compressor that has a strong coloring sound character due to the circuitry used. The compressor does what almost every compressor does: drums get more punch and thrust, basslines are more present, difficult levels become more controllable. Thanks to extremely fast response times, the LedPressor is perfectly suited for percussive material. The sidechain input with adjustable filter allows the compression and rhythmic incorporation of sound collages or basslines by means of a kick drum. As soon as the NUKE LED lights up, the compressor unfolds its true magic: the signal is richly enriched with harmonic overtones, giving it an unmistakable character. If you don't depend on the compressor's capabilities, the module can also be used as a pure saturation tool. The selected parameterization is in line with many compressors from the high-end studio sector. With Input Gain, Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, MakeUp Gain and Output Level the LedPressor is extensively equipped. An LED chain graphically displays the level reduction. A special feature is the MIX control and the corresponding CV input, which allows modern parallel compression of signals.
