XAOC Devices Zlin at a glance

Zlin from XAOC Devices is a slim utility module that functions primarily as an audio & CV crossfader but also as a linear VCA with drone control, ducking VCA or Feedback controller. The module not only fulfills its role in (voltage-controlled) crossfading between two signals, but also has creative potential. With Zlin you can create unusual waveforms, generate dynamic sound changes even before the filter, fade in individual signals or suppress them with the help of an envelope or morph back and forth between complex signals. The circuit is based on a modern, low-noise Dual VCA chip, which is characterized by a high dynamic range. The slider with integrated LED always gives a visual Feedback indication of the current status. The output socket provides the mix signal resulting from the inputs and the fader position. The aux socket underneath generates either a Mix of the inputs before the crossfade process, a copy of the main output or a control voltage that is determined from the fader position.
