The Debel Iteritas Alia Black from Noise Engineering is a digital oscillator with additive phase-modulated synthesis and FM. The sound shaping allows classic and experimental synthesizer sounds from different decades. The three synthesis algorithms range from typical FM plucks and basses to additive anarchy. The two-parameter envelope offers a huge range of shapes and timings making it easy to set the desired sound. The frequency range is switchable in three sections which allows a more specific adjustment of the sounds. Since each parameter has its own CV input, the sound palette can be expanded amazingly by adding velocity, synchronized LFOs and other CV sources to bring the sounds to life. The envelope output can naturally be used at any other point in the Patch .
Exchangeable firmware
Alia is an oscillator platform that allows software interchangeability similar to Versio and Legio. Via the Noise Engineering homepage one gets access to the Alia page where one can find alternative firmwares for free.
