Maple and poplar shell

The shells of the Gretsch Brooklyn drums consist of a total of 6 layers of a maple/poplar combination. The interior of the drum shell is coated with the legendary Silver Sealer interior sealant for improved sound projection. The edges of the shell are relatively flat with an angle of 30°, which causes an increased contact to the head and gives the sound more punch and warmth. The result is That great Gretsch Sound!

Steel hoops for open sound character

The Brooklyn Snare Drum comes with Remo Permatone heads. The single-layer head help the shell to develop its full sound potential and support the open sound character of the Brooklyn drums. For the same reason, double-flanged steel hoops were used instead of cast hoops, because the relatively light Gretsch 302 hoops allows the shell to resonate better.

Chrome hardware and noble satin cherry red finish

The shell hardware in the form of hoops, snare throw-off and lugs is high-quality chrome-plated and, together with the satin cherry red finish, forms a noble symbiosis.
