Unique and powerful analog Drum sounds

The Drumbrute Impact 1984 delivers 10 fully analog Drum sounds with independent sequencer tracks. With knobs and buttons, each sound is highly intuitive and directly customizable. Each drum sound has a unique parameter that changes timbre, pitch, envelope or synthesis characteristics.

Master distortion for more grit

Another new feature is the drum-optimized distortion, which adds grit and texture to the drum sounds without reducing power and transients. This effect, which works on the Master bus, can be used at low settings to give the Mix a slight compression and warmth or, at higher settings, to distort the Mix heavily. Both sound excellent with this effect optimized for drums.

The Color parameter

The Color parameter can be activated individually for each instrument except for the cowbell and adds a further tonal variation if required. This can be Drive for the kick, harmonics for the Open hi-hat or Pitch envelope for the FM Drum sound. These parameters can be activated in the sequencer for individual steps and are ideal for giving the sound more movement.

Velocity-sensitive pads

The Drumbrute Impact has eight velocity-sensitive pads that can be used to play the individual instruments dynamically. They can be used to play your own patterns without a sequencer, improvise over patterns in the sequencer or record them directly into the sequencer. Recorded rhythms can be played back quantized and unquantized. This allows you to create complex and lively patterns very quickly.

In-depth sequencer

The sequencer adopted from the Arturia Drumbrute has a range of interesting sequencing options that can be used individually for each instrument. Swing can be applied to the selected instrument or all sounds. Randomness adds random hits to the drum track, Step Repeat and Roller allow you to divide the steps into smaller steps and repeat sounds at predefined intervals for drum rolls and fills.

Individual settings with the Midi Control Center

The free Midi Control Center, available for MAC and PC, allows you to change a range of settings on the Drumbrute Impact. Patterns can be saved and loaded and the behavior of the metronome and sequencer can be adapted to individual requirements.

Full connectivity with Midi and clock

Thanks to the many connection options, the Drumbrute Impact 1984 can be easily connected to other synthesizers, drum computers, effects or DAWs. The Arturia drum computer has a 3.5 mm headphone output, individual Outputs instrument groups and clock in and out for synchronization via analogue sync and Midi in and out. Via a USB connection, the Drumbrute can be synchronized with the DAW via MIDI or changes to the settings can be made via the Midi Control Center .
