The Taylor T5z Custom K Shaded Edgeburst is a particularly elegant version of the flexible hybrid guitar from El Cajon, offering not only chic appointments in the form of a Koa top and elaborate fingerboard inlays, but also particularly flexible sounds that allow electric and acoustic soundscapes to merge. The noble Koa top of the T5z Custom rests on a resonance-friendly Sapele body.
Clever construction
To combine the handy playing characteristics of an electric guitar with first-class acoustic sound characteristics, Taylor uses a clever bolt-on construction for the T5z Custom. The slim Sapele body together with the solid Koa top provides a warm and lively resonating sound. The mahogany neck is also fastened bomb-proof with just one screw, while the slim C-profile promises agile playing characteristics right up to the highest registers of the ebony fingerboard.
The three pickups of the T5z Custom can be selected in different combinations via the 5-way switch. The controls of the active preamp allow precise adjustment of the timbre.
Three pickup and active Preamp for versatile sounds
The three-pickup T5z Custom Koa delivers a flexible sound spectrum at the guitar amplifier, which includes both electric and acoustic tones in the highest quality. The under-the-top neck humbucker and the bridge-mounted single-coil humbucker create the right foundation for appealing clean and overdrive tones. The combination of neck pickup and body sensor delivers a particularly natural acoustic guitar sound with lively dynamics. The T5z Custom's active Preamp also features an active 2-band tone control for customizing the guitar's sound.
Gold-plated Taylor tuners guarantee a stable and accurate tuning of the T5z Custom Shaded Edgeburst.
Perfectly tuned hardware equipment
The innovative hybrid construction of the T5z Custom Shaded Edgeburst from Taylor is also reflected in the gold-plated hardware. The traditional ebony acoustic guitar bridge supports the resonant acoustic guitar sound of the guitar. Behind the bone nut, gold-plated Taylor Die-Cast tuners on the headstock ensure precise tuning with high stability.
