Tuner from Koma Elektronik

The Chromaplane Tuner is a tuner specially designed for the experimental synthesiser Chromaplane experimental synthesizer from Koma Elektronik. The tuner "listens" for electromagnetic fields and displays the frequency found. You could even use it to check whether the microwave, coffee machine and cordless screwdriver are musically in tune. When the tuner is placed on the Chromaplane, it searches for electromagnetic fields emitted from the surface of the Chromaplane and displays information about the detected note. The LED display of the tuner shows the deviating cents, the nearest chromatic note and the current octave. With this tuner, the Chromaplane can be tuned without any sound being emitted via loudspeakers or headphones. The tuner is designed to work well with the accompanying website. On the website you can browse through a library of tunings for the instrument.
