With the MultiOud Encore Nylon Godin offers a truly exotic stringed instrument and combines the sound of traditional oriental short neck lutes with the advantages of modern on-board electronics. The 11-stringed and fretless instrument is equipped with a pickup under the bridge insert for performances and recording sessions, which in combination with the active preamp in the frame provides a full and organic sound for PA, amplifier and mixer. In addition, special custom tuning mechanisms are used to tune the 11 strings of the MultiOud at any time and in seconds.
