Chic lapsteel with innovative detail solutions

The Duesenberg Fairytale Lapsteel Goldburst combines the traditional lapsteel design of the Western Swing with some useful hardware innovations from Duesenberg. Thanks to its modern features, the Fairytale knows how to produce an enormous tonal palette that lets it easily find its footing in a wide range of musical genres.

Korina base with aluminium fingerboard

The basic construction of the Fairytale Lapsteel is made up of its full-length Korina body, which is finished with a Maple top on the headstock. In addition, the instrument features an aluminium fingerboard with 24 frets and precious Split Diamond inlays, while the Duesenberg Roller Nut ensures easy tuning procedures and absolute tuning stability.

Duesenberg Pickups

Two characterful Duesenberg pickups are responsible for the enormous tonal range of the Fairytale Lapsteel. While in the neck position a Duesenberg SingleTwin Domino pickup delivers extremely fat tones for powerful cleans and singing Overdrive , the GrandVintage humbucker at the bridge provides powerful leads with enormous assertiveness. A practical highlight of the classic 3-way circuit is also the speed pot of the volume control, which allows the easy conversion of volume swells due to the short control path.

Duesenberg Multi-Bender & Easy Shift Capo

To remove any limits to musical creativity, Duesenberg uses a sophisticated multi-bender system on the Fairytale Lapsteel Goldburst. The bridge with freely configurable levers gives each string individually the classic bending effect of pedal steel, making the Fairytale the absolute secret weapon for all imaginable sounds of the Western Swing .
