Electric bass in a successful retro style
The redesigned Orange O Bass Black combines the successful retro charm of the popular original with a number of interesting visual and construction details. Based on a design by Orange Technical Director Adrian Emsley, the four-string Bass comes in classic Singlecut Style with an Okoume body and bolt-on maple neck with Purpleheart fingerboard. Bass A custom-wound Split coil pickup and traditional passive electrics are also responsible for the sound transformation, while reliable attachments in the form of a 4-saddle bridge and tuning-stable Open-Gear tuners complete the bass guitar.
The Orange O Bass Black comes in a successful retro design and convinces with comfortable playing characteristics and a rich vintage sound.

Singlecut Bass with first-class playing characteristics
In the design of the O Bass , Orange not only pays special attention to successful retro looks but also to buttery-soft playing characteristics that suit beginners and advanced players alike. The body in classic single-cut shape is made of resonance-friendly okoumé wood from West Africa, while the quadruple-bolted maple neck carries a fretboard made of durable purpleheart. The not-too-beefy C-profile with a pleasant 43 mm nut width promises comfortable handling and plenty of room for clean note gripping.
A custom-wound split-coil with traditional passive switching provides rich bass sounds with authentic vintage character at the bass amp.
Custom-Wound Split-Coil
At the bass amp, the O Bass delivers a rich palette of premium retro tones that range from fat Motown grooves to rich growling rock riffs. The custom-wound split-coil pickup of the Orange Bass is placed closer to the neck and reacts sensitively to the intensity of the attack, presenting every note with a deep midrange foundation and velvety treble spectrum. To customize the Bass sound, Orange also equips the electric bass guitar with a traditional passive-electrical system consisting of a volume control and a treble trim.
Classic open-gear bass machine heads guarantee accurate and stable tuning of the Orange O Bass.
Reliable Vintage-Style Hardware
Of course, high-quality Vintage-Style Hardware completes the successful retro look of the O Bass Black from Orange Amplification. Due to its robust construction, the nickel-plated Orange Top-Loading 4-Saddle Bridge supports the lively sound character of the electric bass, while four individually adjustable tailpieces ensure exact intonation and comfortably playable string position. On the strikingly designed headstock of the E-Bass , open-gear tuners also guarantee accurate and robust tuning.
