The Spector NS Ethos 4 Interstellar Gloss combines the classic NS Bass design penned by Ned Steinberger with a number of interesting appointments that make the four-string the ideal Bass for almost any modern musical style. While the elaborate neck-thru construction with classic 34" scale length (864 mm) and arched maple body promises a tight sound and highly comfortable playing characteristics, the Poplar Burl top in the trendy fade finish provides for an appealing look of the bass guitar. Featuring a PJ Set from the New Yorker bass specialists at Aguilar, the NS Ethos 4 Bass delivers a wide range of musical tones that can be precisely adjusted using the active Aguilar OBP-2 Preamps . A Spector Hi-Mass Locking bridge and precise Spector die-cast bass tuners complete Spector's NS Ethos 4 Interstellar Gloss E-Bass .
The Spector NS Ethos 4 Interstellar Gloss combines the comfortable Spector design with a hip Poplar Burl look and a rich sound spectrum.
Due to the slim profile of the full-length maple neck and the arching of the body, the NS Ethos 4 offers first-class playing characteristics.
Neck-Through Bass with comfortable handling
The elaborate neck-through construction with the usual 34" scale length (864 mm) of the NS Ethos 4 promises not only the famous agile playing characteristics of the New Yorker bass design, but also a particularly tight sound. While the maple body 's typical arching hugs the body comfortably both sitting and standing, the slim profile of the full-length, three-piece maple neck creates the best conditions for implementing classic and modern playing techniques in all positions of the 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. The intensely figured Poplar Burl top also provides a contemporary look to the bass guitar.
Aguilar AG-P split-coil and AG-J-HC single-coil pickups, together with the active Aguilar 2-band EQ, promise a variety of bass sounds for almost any genre.
Pickups and Preamp from Aguilar
For the electric sound conversion of the NS Ethos 4, Spector chooses high-quality Aguilar pickups in the typical PJ setup. The traditionally built Bass pickups convince with the typical sounds of the great classics and include both the aggressive low-mid growl and punch of the Aguilar AG-P Split coil and the tight sound of the Aguilar AG-J-HC single coil blessed with wiry midrange presence. While separate volume controls allow you to smoothly combine the output of both pickups, the 2-band tone control of the active Aguilar OBP-2 preamp allows you to precisely adjust the timbre.
Die-cast bass tuners with Spector logo guarantee accurate and stable tuning of the NS Ethos 4 bass.

Last but not least, Spector equips the NS Ethos 4 Interstellar Gloss 4-String Bass with high-quality and reliable attachments. Due to the solid construction with lockable tailpieces, the Spector Hi-Mass Locking bridge on the body not only supports the balanced and sustain-rich sound character of the bass, but also guarantees an exact and bombproof adjustment of intonation and string action.
