To give the California Central 4 Bass a crisp sound and first-class playing characteristics, Sandberg relies on proven construction details. While the ash body fits comfortably thanks to the generous contours and convinces with a perfect balance on the strap as well as on the thigh, the flat C-profile of the six-ply maple neck conveys agile playing characteristics up to the highest positions of the 22-fret Pau Ferro fingerboard.

Sandberg Plus humbucker and active EQ

The electrical sound conversion of the California Central is done by a Sandberg Plus humbucker. Placed in the sweet spot between the bridge and the center of the body, the powerful pickup delivers an extremely powerful sound with a harmonious balance between powerful bass and brilliant treble. To perfectly adjust the Bass sound in the important frequency ranges, the electric bass guitar comes with an active 3-band equalizer.

Indestructible Sandberg Hardware

Of course, Sandberg completes the California Central 4 PF Black matte E-Bass with indestructible Hardware from our own house. With three-dimensionally adjustable tailpieces, the Sandberg Bridge 4 guarantees precise adjustment of intonation as well as string action and spacing, while the solid construction supports the powerful sound character. Behind the zero fret and nut, open Sandberg Machine Heads also ensure precise tuning with bombproof stability.
