Beneath the matte black finish, the Sandberg California Nighthawk hides an alder body that is six-bolted to the neck.

Beneath the deep black matte finish of the Sandberg California Nighthawk TM4 PF lies a classic alder body connected via six screws to a maple neck and pau ferro fingerboard. This combination promises a fat primary sound with crisp Attack and even sustain that provides the perfect foundation for cleanly articulated riffs on the comfortable "C" profile of the neck.

Thanks to Sandberg Black Label Series single-coil and humbucker pickups, the Sandberg California Nighthawk TM PF delivers versatile rock tones.

Sandberg Black Label Pickups

The electric tone conversion of the Sandberg California Nighthawk TM PF is done by pickups of the Sandberg Black Label Series, a single-coil in the middle position and a humbucker at the bridge. With them, the 4-string electric bass delivers versatile rock sounds on the amp, ranging from the gnarly aggressive mid-growl with high assertiveness of the humbucker to the abysmal, yet transparent bass foundation of the single coil. The humbucker can also be split via the split switch for authentic single-coil sounds, while the musically tuned 2-band tone control allows precise adjustments to the tone.

The Sandberg California Nighthawk is equipped with lightweight Sandberg tuners.
