The Spector NS Pulse II 5 Ultra Violet Matte combines the core features of the basses designed by Stuart Spector and Ned Steinberger in a modern 5-string Bass with excellent handling and multi-faceted sound. While the classic bolt-on construction with extra-long scale length, swamp ash body and five-bolt roasted maple neck creates the basis for a tight sound with razor-sharp output of each string, the wide neck profile offers ideal playing characteristics for ambitious band accompaniment and virtuoso solo excursions. On the bass amp, the five-string delivers a wide range of tones thanks to two EMG 40DC humbuckers and TonePump Jr. active electronics, making it an all-rounder for almost any style of music. Of course, Spector completes the NS Pulse II 5 Ultra Violet Matte Bass with the in-house Locking bridge and tuning stable die-cast tuners.

In addition to the comfortably designed swamp ash body, the electric bass has a wide neck made of roasted maple and fastened with five screws.
Bolt-On construction with 35" scale length
In order to combine a particularly tight sound and highly comfortable playing characteristics in one instrument, Spector not only relies on the proven NS bass design for the NS Pulse II five-string, but also on an extra-long 35" scale length (889 mm), which guarantees a tight pull of every string. Ergonomic shaping allows the swamp ash body to assume a snug playing position with near-perfect balance, while the five-bolt, toasted maple neck's wide, flat profile makes any bass playing technique come off with ease. Fluorescent side dots guarantee perfect orientation between 24 frets of the Macassar ebony fingerboard. Last but not least, the cloud maple top underlines the dignified noble bass look of the NS Pulse II 5.
Active EMG 40DC humbuckers with ceramic magnets and the active Spector TonePump Jr. tone control promise punchy bass sounds with tight reproduction of the H-string.
Active EMG Pickups and TonePump Jr. Electronics
For the pickup of the NS Pulse II five-stringer Spector chooses two active EMG 40DC pickups. The modern, powerful Bass humbuckers rely on ceramic bar magnets and blade pole pieces to deliver a punchy sound with crisp highs and shattering lows, which also includes the low B-string cleanly and powerfully. In addition to the blend control, which smoothly mixes the signals of the two EMG Bass pickups for multi-faceted sound nuances, the active Spector TonePump Jr. tone control with boost pots for bass and treble allows you to precisely adjust the personal bass sound.
Spector Die-Cast tuners guarantee virtually unshakable tuning stability of the NS Pulse II 5-String Bass.
Locking Bridge and Die-Cast Tuner
Last but not least, Spector completes the NS Pulse II 5 Ultra Violet Matte bass guitar with high-quality and reliable add-on parts. The Spector Locking bridge, equipped with lockable tailpieces, not only guarantees a bombproof anchoring of the strings on the body and an exact adjustment of intonation and string action but also supports the tight and sustain-rich sound of the electric bass guitar. At the headstock, a graphite saddle guides the five bass strings to the precise Spector Die-Cast tuners, which keep them securely in tune.
