High-End Custom Shell Set with SSC Shells from Drum Workshop
The DW Collectors Maple SSC Shell Set Ruby Glass convinces with excellent sound and outstanding workmanship. The five-piece shell set consists of 10"x8" and 12"x9" toms, a 16"x14 " floor tom as well as a 22"x18" Bass Drum and a 14"x6" snare . The Black Nickel shell hardware harmonizes perfectly with the Finish Ply in Ruby Glass. The Pure Maple shells with reinforcement ring are made in SSC construction, this means that each shell is built according to the patented Specialized Shell Construction. This guarantees a perfect gluing and an ideal tuning among each other for each drum. The note in which each shell vibrates is immortalized in a badge on the inside. True Pitch tensioning rods with fine thread allow an extremely sensitive tuning of the Remo heads, together with the 2.3 mm True Hoops you get powerful sound and the characteristic DW sound that is so popular.
Pure Maple shell from Drum Workshop with Finish Ply
Maple shells offer proven sound, characterized by warmth and a round mix of resonance and attack. With the Pure Maple shell, the reinforcement rings additionally focus the multi-layered sound. The Bass Drum booms deep and crisp with a warm, natural note and the suspension and Floor Tom impress with excellent response and with a defined frequency mix.
DW Finish Ply: A unique concept
DW's Finish Ply concept considers the outer layer of foil as part of the sound-producing shell construction. This high-quality foil layer in Ruby Glass is pulled through to the top and bottom edges of the shell and is even cut like a wooden layer. In addition, this foil layer optimizes the head contact by preventing the head rings from grinding on the shell by a small overhang, thus allowing them to vibrate completely freely. The foil itself is of the best quality and equipped with a wonderful shimmer and an exceedingly noble feel.
