The Ludwig Classic Maple Pro Beat Set Olive Oyster is a high-end drum kit made of maple. The Classic Maple series is aimed at professional drummers who are looking for a perfectly tuned tool in terms of sound and appearance. Each drum in the shell set is hand-built in the American Ludwig factory. This shell set consists of a 24 "x14" bass drum, a 13 "x9" Tom tom, and a 16 "x16" floor tom in a foiled Pink Oyster finish. The Classic Maple drums are made of a total of 7 layers of maple wood, resulting in a thickness of 6 mm. Thanks to RFST molding, the shells offer optimal resonance. Equipped with Ludwig Weathermaster heads, which rest on the 45° burr, the professional overall picture of the Ludwig Classic Maple is harmoniously rounded off.
Shells made from the finest maple wood
The basis for the good sound of the Classic Maple Shell Set lies in the cleanly processed drum shells. These consist in the Ludwig Classic Maple series of a total of 7 layers of maple wood, resulting in a thickness of 6 mm. During the manufacturing process, the core is produced first, which consists of three cross-glued layers of veneer. Then, using the RFST molding process, two outer and inner layers are added respectively. The burr is sanded at a 45° angle and is located on the outer approximately 1.5 mm of the boiler. This creates a rather sharp edge that gives the Ludwig Classic Maple Fab Shell Set its open sound character.
