4ms Sampler at a glance

The 4ms sampler is a monophonic sampler for Stereo and mono samples. The simple architecture allows the sample to be manipulated via pitch, start position and length; in addition, ten samples can be selected in succession and played backwards. This almost purist approach opens the door for the user to concentrate on the essential part - the sample itself. Thanks to the CV inputs for the four main parameters in combination with various (synchronized) control voltages, a wild ride through the sample and the sample bank is possible. Noisy sounds, atonal shredding and wacky new sounds can be expected alongside the 1:1 output of a sample. If you hold down the play button for a moment, the sample is played as a loop. The module is able to record samples in mono or Stereo with an audio quality of 24 bit / 48 kHz and store them on the MicroSD card. If a sample contains cue points, the Start Pos and Length controls engage at these cue points. This makes it possible, for example, to jump to a specific point in an amen break or a sound collage. The 16 GB MicroSD card included in the scope of delivery is loaded with hundreds of samples from well-known artists from the Eurorack scene. You can use these samples and/or transfer your own samples to this or a larger memory card via PC/Mac. It is possible to color code the folders and scroll more effectively through the 60 sample banks.
