With the Mayones Hydra 7 Koa, the manufacturer for premium heavy guitars from Gdansk, Poland, presents a limited headless electric guitar with seven strings and a breathtaking Master Grade Koa top. Hot Seymour Duncan pickups and the design for optimal playing characteristics also create the best conditions for tight riffing or agile high-speed solos, while reliable headless hardware completes the equipment of the Hydra 7 Koa.

The Mayones Hydra 7 Koa convinces with noble tonewoods, comfortable playing characteristics and versatile sounds for Rock and Metal.

The five-piece wenge amaranth neck is six-bolted to the black limba body.

For the construction of the Hydra 7 Koa, Mayones relies on top-quality tonewoods that combine a lively tone with stunning looks. Accordingly, the lightweight body of contrasting black limba bears a top of intensely flamed master-grade koa wood, while the six-bolt wenge purpleheart neck sports a Fretboard of toasted bird's-eye maple (T.E.W., Tonally Enhanced Wood). Last but not least, the flat D-neck profile and stainless steel binding promise extremely agile playing characteristics and buttery smooth bends that run like on rails.

While Seymour Duncan pickups in zebra look promise versatile guitar sounds, ABM single fine tuner bridges ensure exact and stable tuning.

The electric tone conversion of the Mayones Hydra 7 Koa is done by two Seymour Duncan humbucker, whose classic zebra look contrasts elegantly with the intense color of the Koa top. As an absolute classic among the high-output pickups, the Seymour Duncan JB at the bridge delivers extremely assertive sounds that, thanks to razor-sharp mids, do not lose their contour even with drop tunings and high gain. As a moderate Modern Vintage pickup, the Seymour Duncan Jazz pickup placed at the neck provides warm sounds with high transparency, which are ideally suited for singing leads and harmonic cleans. Thanks to the coil split option, dynamic single-coil sounds are also part of the Hydra 7 Koa's repertoire.

The S-CLAMP headpiece at the end of the neck holds the strings of the Mayones Hydra 7 Koa.

First-class headless hardware

Last but not least, the Mayones Hydra 7 Koa is equipped with first-class headless hardware. Accordingly, seven ABM 3801 single fine tuner bridges are used on the body, which implement every tuning process smoothly and precisely. Behind the Graph Tech nut a Mayones S-CLAMP headpiece at the end of the neck ensures a secure hold of the strings, while Schaller S-Locks reliably attach the strap to the guitar.
