Straightforward one-pickup guitar for rock and metal
With the ESP LTD EX-201 Black, the Japanese guitar giant is launching a straightforward one-pickup version of the popular EX model, which proves to be the ideal workhorse for rock and metal with excellent playing characteristics and a brute sound. Based on the proven set-neck construction, the guitar features a mahogany body and a comfortable "thin" maple neck, while a split ESP Designed LH-150B humbucker provides the appropriate sound backdrop. Indestructible Hardware in the form of a Tune-O-Matic bridge and tuning-stable die-cast tuners complete the LTD EX-201 Black electric guitar from ESP.

The glued "Thin U" maple neck of the black LTD EX-201 offers unhindered playability in the high registers.
Fast-playing set-neck guitar
When designing the EX-201, ESP not only paid particular attention to aggressive styling, but also to playing characteristics suitable for metal. While the large mahogany body offers an amazingly balanced playing position both on the strap and on the thigh, the glued, three-piece maple neck can be easily played up to the highest positions of the 24-fret Roasted Jatoba fingerboard thanks to the flat "Thin U" profile.
The split ESP Designed LH-150B humbucker in the bridge position provides powerful rock and metal sounds.
A pickup for brute sounds
An ESP Designed LH-150 humbucker in the bridge position converts the electric guitar's sound. The contemporary tuned high-output humbucker elicits juicy, shredding distortion sounds from the guitar amplifier, which also reproduces every riff and solo at low tunings with rich pressure and well-dosed assertiveness. Thanks to the coil split option via the push/pull switch in the volume control, glassy single-coil sounds for more moderate clean and overdrive tones are also part of the electric guitar's repertoire.
LTD die-cast tuners keep the EX-201 securely in tune.
Indestructible hardware equipment
Last but not least, ESP equips the LTD EX-201 Black with indestructible Hardware , which promises long-lasting playing pleasure with the aggressively styled metal guitar. From the classic stopbar tailpiece, the strings are guided on the body via a Tune-O-Matic bridge, which guarantees precise adjustment of intonation and string action even when using thick strings and low tunings. LTD die-cast tuners on the distinctive "reversed" headstock also ensure precise tuning with high stability.
