* Hardware Unlock:

To activate the hardware unlock, the controller must be connected to the computer via USB and switched on while the software is running. The software uses a handshake protocol to check whether the controller is unlocked and automatically activates the Pro features without the need to enter a serial number.

Pioneer DJ DDJ-REV7 at a glance

The DDJ-REV7 has been specifically designed to realise the full potential of Serato DJ Pro software. The DJ controller features an innovative layout with large, motorised 7-inch jog wheels and integrated 3.5-inch on-jog displays, providing an optimal overview when mixing and an authentic turntable feel. The pitch faders have been aligned horizontally and positioned at the upper edges of the deck sections to recreate a battle setup, as is common in the turntablism scene. Scratch sounds have also been integrated, which can be activated via the 'Instant Scratch' buttons and can even be used without a connected computer. As with the DJM-S series mixers, the performance pads and FX paddles are located in the centre of the mixer section for quick access to performance options and effects. In addition, 22 beat FX are available, offering creative freedom and enriching the mix individually.

22 Beat FX, with 3 new effects:

There are a total of 22 beat FX that can be activated via the FX paddles. The effect levers can be pulled down and held to apply effects from Serato DJ Pro over them with short pulses, or pushed up to activate the effects permanently. The DDJ-REV7 also offers 6 additional sound colour effects to add even more spice to the performance.

Instant Scratch:

The Instant Scratch function allows users to access permanently installed scratch sounds to practice or perfect scratch routines. This function can also be used on the DDJ-REV7 without a computer, although the internal sounds cannot be changed! If users want to use their own scratch sounds, they can be loaded into Serato DJ Pro's sample slots and operated via the jog wheels

Jogwheels / On-Jog Display:

The DDJ-REV7's motorised 7-inch jog wheels can be switched from 33 RPM to 45 RPM, so users can choose their preferred tempo. The jog wheels also feature a 3.5-inch display that shows waveforms, running time, BPM or the cover of a track.

Performance Pads:

The DDJ-REV7 offers eight large multicolour performance pads per deck that can be operated in eight different modes. Hot Cue, Roll, Saved Loop, Sampler, Pitch Play, Slicer Loop, Saved Flip and Scratch Bank are the tools that Serato and Pioneer give users to get creative right away and, with a little flair and practice, radically intervene in the flow of a song.
