Being creative even without a PC connection

As is often the case, the best ideas come when you're not sitting in front of your computer with an open, ready-to-go DAW. The Akai APC-64 makes it possible to bring ideas to life without a computer in standalone mode and in combination with MIDI/CV Hardware . or Synths, Eurorack modules, keyboards, Drum machines - design your setup according to your ideas.

On board are 8 CV/Gate Outputs as well as 1x MIDI in / 2x MIDI out ports via mini-jack sockets. The stand-alone step sequencer allows up to eight tracks with 32 steps and 16 notes of polyphony on each track with continuous control via the 8 touch strips.

Included software for a quick start

To get you started right away, you'll receive a Lite version of Ableton Live with your purchase, which gives you the tools you need to compose, Live loop and perform. It also comes with a collection of "Air" and Sonivox VST/AU plug-ins including classic virtual keyboards and synths, as well as reverb, Vocal processing and Vintage FX. Also included are various Loops and drum samples from Sampletools (by CR2 Records).

Not to forget the APC Project Editor with the help of which you can create your own layouts and save presets.
