Crazy Tube Circuits Crossfire - Overdrive & Blackface-Amp-in-a-Box in one pedal

The Crazy Tube Circuits Crossfire combines two legendary sound worlds in one compact pedal: the characteristic clean tone of classic American blackface amps and the green mid-hump overdrive of the late 70s. The left side is based on a fully analogue amp-in-a-box circuit that precisely reproduces the typical Mix of tight bass, sparkling highs and slightly scooped mids. The headroom switch can also be used to switch between the tight punch of a solid-state rectified 4x6L6 power amp and the softer response of a 2x6L6 tube rectifier mode. The right-hand side offers an authentic reconstruction of the iconic overdrive pedal, complete with popular mods: a clipping switch selects between balanced original characteristics or asymmetrical, dynamic distortion, while an additional gain mode provides more saturation and altered bass response - similar to operating two identical overdrives in series. An internal headroom switch supplies the overdrive section with 18 volts for more dynamics and clarity if required.

Effect loop and reliable true bypass circuit

Thanks to the passive effects loop, external pedals can be looped in between the overdrive and amp sections or both sides can be used independently of each other. When fully deactivated, the entire signal remains true bypass. The Crossfire is therefore ideal for players who want to expand their existing amp with authentic blackface cleans, dynamic crunch sounds and classic mid-hump drive - or who are looking for the complete combination as a versatile mini-rig in pedal format.
