With the Takamine GD93N2 Natural Gloss, the Japanese manufacturer expands its G-Series 90 and a part-massive Dreadnought acoustic guitar in an attractive design. Its tonewood combination, player-friendly features and visual highlights like an ivoroid binding and a special back construction result in a versatile solo and accompaniment instrument.
For the ultimate acoustic sound, the guitar is equipped with a solid spruce top for clear mid and treble frequencies and a two-piece body made of walnut and cloud maple. In addition to an attractive appearance, it enriches the tone with warm bass frequencies that unfold quickly and completely thanks to a thin high-gloss finish. Meanwhile, the persistently popular dreadnought design provides the necessary assertiveness and powerful bass.
An obliging playability is guaranteed by the mahogany neck with laurel fingerboard, which lies well in the hand and can be comfortably gripped in all 20 frets. A two-piece bridge inlay and a 42.5 mm nut ensure clean intonation over the entire 644 mm scale and meet all the requirements needed for powerful strumming and flatpicking. Meanwhile, gold-plated die-cast tuners guarantee high tuning stability, while a tortoise pickguard protects the material from scratches during pick play.
