The device has the same high light output as BeamX.7 and BeamX.7 IP. The beam angle is narrowly defined at ten degrees, which extends the classic application possibilities as a truss toner and beamwork effects. For a wider beam angle, the included frost filter can be quickly and easily mounted on the unit, extending the beam to approximately 25 degrees. In addition, the LITECRAFT BX.7 also has a Y-bracket that cannot slip. The high-quality die-cast aluminium housing is attractive, robust and thermally optimised so that the device does not require active ventilation. This means that it can also be used in particularly noise-sensitive locations. Of course, the device with its compact dimensions also fits into standard 290 mm trusses.

The LITECRAFT BX.7 is equipped with XLR 5 pin (XLR 3 pin as an additional option) in IP design as well as powerCON True1 connectors - each as input and output. Thus, the device can not only be charged contact-safe, but also permanently supplied with mains power for longer-term applications. A charge level indicator provides information about the battery status at any time. In addition, an integrated "emergency" circuit allows operation as an emergency power lamp. Once activated, the unit responds to appropriate signals or settings in mains power mode. In the event of a power failure, the unit automatically switches to battery operation with selectable light colour.

The BX.7 can be controlled in several ways, depending on the application. Wired control via DMX 512 is of course standard. Another option is a professional wireless DMX transmission via the integrated CRMXchip from LUMENRADIO. The CRMXchip is not only compatible with LUMENRADIO transmitters, but also with W-DMX products from Wireless Solution. In addition, the device has internal fixed colours and programs. These can be selected directly on the device or also conveniently and quickly via the supplied infrared remote control.
