Connections, connections, connections!

If you want to run larger music productions and be as versatile as possible, this is the perfect choice: with a total of 30 input / 30 output channels, 12 analogue inputs and outputs, an AES/EBU I/O, the two ADAT connections and the MIDI interface, you won't break a sweat any time soon. Thanks to these options, you can create tape, orchestral or live recordings and benefit from the latest A/D and D/A converter chips with low latency at high resolutions of up to 192 kHz.

Those who like to use standalone and/or their iPad at work will be delighted with the Class Compliant Mode. An iPad Pro with USB C can manage up to 60 channels for recording and output in TotalMix FX for iPad and at system level.

The optional ARC USB Remote Control is another option for operation. It is simply connected to the computer via USB and communicates directly with TotalMix FX. This provides you with 15 freely assignable and illuminated buttons, an encoder wheel and a jack plug for connecting a footswitch.

CV/Gate Voltage Control

Traditionally, most audio interfaces are equipped with AC-coupled outputs. Unwanted, low-frequency signals should be filtered out, as they not only eat up headroom, but can potentially damage other devices.

However, RME works with DC-coupled outputs that use static or slow signals to control various parameters such as pitch values or LFOs of modular synthesizers - and other studio hardware.
