Legendary SSL 4K sound

The SSL 2+ MKII is a USB audio interface that is ideal for professional music production. It offers first-class audio quality thanks to its 32-bit/192 kHz converters and enables precise output and recording of audio signals. The dynamic range of the SSL 2+ MKII has been significantly improved compared to its predecessor: it offers 120 dB in the output, 119.5 dB in the headphone outputs and 116.5 dB in the microphone inputs, guaranteeing clear and detailed sound reproduction. The gain range of 64 dB in the microphone inputs enables flexible adaptation to different sources and recording situations.

The SSL 2+ MKII is equipped with two high-quality microphone preamps that offer excellent signal quality. In addition, the inputs have a switchable high-pass filter that reduces unwanted low-frequency noise. There are two separately adjustable headphone outputs on the front, which can be used independently of each other. The second headphone output offers the option of being dependent or independent of the monitor mix control. The balanced monitor outputs ensure a clean and balanced output to studio monitors.

A special highlight of the SSL 2+ MKII is the integrated Legacy "4K" switch, which is available in both inputs and influences the sound character along the lines of the legendary SSL 4000 series. This function gives the recordings a pleasant analogue warmth and additional depth of sound. The Auto-detect instrument inputs on the front panel facilitate handling and ensure a fast workflow.

For modern applications such as streaming and podcasting, the SSL 2+ MKII offers a practical USB loopback function that enables easy recording of signals from other computer applications. The device is powered via USB-C and is compatible with Mac and Windows. A comprehensive software package with licenses for SSL plug-ins, Ableton Live, Loopcloud and other tools rounds off the features of the SSL 2+ MKII and makes it a versatile companion in any studio.
