Central MIDI switchboard for large setups with flexible routing
The M8U eX from ESI allows you to connect up to 16 MIDI devices to your computer in any configuration. This means that the 16 ports can be used as both inputs and outputs, with the interface automatically recognising which signal type is currently present. Additional equipment, e.g. USB-MIDI devices, can be connected to the three USB 3 ports on the back, making the M8U eX a universal interface between computer and Hardware .
The M8U eX can also be used as a merger or splitter without a computer. The function is controlled via buttons.
