      The Epiphone Prophecy SG Black Aged Gloss is a particularly successful modern interpretation of the classic SG design. The iconic solid-body electric guitar with the two pointed horns is composed of a mahogany body with maple top, while the mahogany neck gives a classic SG feel. On the tonal side, two Fishman Fluence humbuckers provide a huge variety of tones from classic sounds to modern metal tones and coil splits, while the Epiphone Prophecy SG's brushed nickel Finish hardware appointments are designed to be extremely functional and resonant with LockTone parts and Grover tuners.

      The Epiphone Prophecy SG Black Aged Gloss combines classic SG design with the benefits of modern Fishman Fluence humbuckers and solid hardware with locking function.
      The glued, asymmetrical "Slim Taper" neck of the Prophecy SG promises optimal playing characteristics in all positions.

      Mahogany body with maple top

      The Prophecy SG's classic recipe body is crafted from mahogany and features a 0.75" (19 mm) thick solid maple top. The neck, attached to the body via the classic glue joint, is also made of mahogany and features a modern Asymmetrical Slim Taper profile that provides the proper thumb rest in all positions and accommodates modern playing techniques with its slim design.

      Fishman Fluence humbuckers designed specifically for the Prophecy SG deliver diverse sounds ranging from vintage PAF to modern metal.

      Fishman Fluence Humbucker

      The neck and bridge positions of the Epiphone Prophecy SG feature two Fishman Fluence humbuckers designed by US pickup specialists Fishman. The two rather unconventionally designed pickups feature a revolutionary design that elicits a much wider tonal palette from both pickups than conventional dual coils, and rely on two switchable modes. Vintage provides classic PAF sounds, while Modern Voicing provides every imaginable sound of modern metal with tight response and clear resolution.

      Grover Locking Rotomatics guarantee precise tuning and make string changing especially comfortable.

      High-quality LockTone hardware

      To further promote values like response and tightness, Epiphone relies on the popular combination of a LockTone Tune-o-Matic bridge with adjustable tailpieces and lockable pins and a matching LockTone stopbar. Thanks to its tight connection into the body, the combination ensures an extremely resonant transmission into the Prophecy SG's body. In addition, six Grover Rotomatic tuners with locking function are used to make string changes as easy as possible and to provide additional tuning stability.
