With the Gibson Les Paul '70s Deluxe Gold Top, Gibson revives its most famous Seventies model as part of the Original Collection, with which the brilliant sound of the mini humbucker entered the world of rock'n'roll. Besides the mahogany body and maple top, the electric guitar features a comfortable Rounded-C mahogany neck, while the traditional hardware completes the Les Paul '70s Deluxe.
For the Les Paul '70s Deluxe, Gibson relies on the construction method established since 1952, which promises a powerful sound. While the solid mahogany body without weight relief carries the typical maple top, the mahogany neck is glued and fitted with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. With the not too strong Rounded-C neck profile the electric guitar furthermore offers comfortable playing characteristics.
As an authentic reissue from the 1970s, the Gibson Les Paul '70s Deluxe naturally comes with two Mini Humbuckers in cream-colored frames. Due to the narrower magnetic field compared to standard humbuckers, the pickups deliver a particularly brilliant sound that elicits characterful and assertive clean and overdrive sounds from the guitar amp. A hand-wired circuit with Orange Drop capacitors grants full control over the tone color.
Last but not least, a traditional hardware setup completes the Gibson Les Paul '70s Deluxe Gold Top. From the aluminum stop bar, the strings are guided over a Tune-O-Matic bridge, which guarantees optimal adjustment of intonation and string action. Behind the Graph Tech saddle, classic vintage-style tuners with keystone wings also ensure accurate and stable tuning of the guitar.
