With the Maybach Lester Junior Double Cut Special, Maybach pays fitting tribute to the famous student model of the 1950s. The agile doublecut Lester is made up of a solid mahogany body with authentic shaping and a mahogany neck attached via a resonant glue joint, whose Big C profile corresponds to the powerful necks of the famous models from the years '57 to '59. On the sound side, two Amber 90 Standard Soapbar pickups by German pickup winder Wolfgang Damm with traditional Fifties Vintage voicing are used, while the solid hardware equipment in the form of a fully adjustable Wraparound bridge and Gotoh SD-90 Relic tuners correspond to artificial ageing of the original equipment of the model.
